our little petri dish

Last week we went to Denver for Thanksgiving and my lovely little grand-daughter gave us the flu and as a parting gift a terrible cold. Good thing we love her so much. Anyhow with travel time and being sick and all I haven’t had much time to do any creating or posting. One thing I have been working on is needle punching. My friend and I took a class on this several weeks ago and I have been working on some designs since then. This is the needle that I have been using and it works really well. I think the most time consuming aspect of these projects is the thread sorting. In order to add some depth to your projects it helps to mix the thread colors – I use three threads and mix them up to add highlights or shading.  So far I have finished several pieces. Here are photos of two of the projects – the photos were taken with my iphone so might not be the best. The Christmas tree is my own design the snowman was part of a kit. Till next time craft on.
